Energy and water use at Northwest Medical Center Houghton

OVERVIEW

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Data collection
  • Energy and water use report configuration

A checklist from D. Johnson Architect LLC — the Northwest Medical Center Houghton architect — identified the need to evaluate and document the building’s energy and water use. To meet that need, the building contractor, M. J. Harris Construction Services, brought in ecoPreserve.

ecoPreserve’s team researched and configured the ENERGY STAR Performance Manager (ESPM), enabling its Target Finder Report. The report assesses utility use performance throughout the 180,000-square-foot hospital.

The Northwest Medical Center Houghton — a 52-bed facility — provides a broad range of services to Tucson, Arizona’s eastside communities. Among those services are 24/7 Emergency Care, an Intensive Care Unit, operating rooms, diagnostic imaging, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, as well as labor and delivery suites.
