Consistent with its 50-year commitment to sustainability and the environment, SESCO Lighting has maintained Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification of its Maitland, Florida Headquarters. While keeping that certification current, the company pursues further value in optimization of HVAC and water systems performance, refined through preventive and predictive maintenance.

Before each quarterly update, ecoPreserve has reviewed records of headquarters energy use along with HVAC systems calibration. After assessment of wide-ranging available data, summary tables and actionable recommendations were provided in report format. In these reports, recent quarterly performance has been compared to 2018 baseline metrics.

Other services provided to headquarters operations include an annual waste composition analysis, providing the potential to reduce the volume of waste and to encourage productive reuse. Sustainable procurement strategies are reviewed and assessed for reduced environmental impact and support of Circular Economy.

The 2021 spike in energy consumption at SESCO Lighting’s headquarters might otherwise have resulted in significant energy usage. Quarterly reporting revealed the concerns. After building optimization, energy consumption was more manageable.
