Congratulations to the Jacksonville Transportation Authority and Balfour Beatty for the recent environmental certification of the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center (JRTC) at LaVilla. The JRTC has certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold facility. Credits for LEED certification are earned for environmentally-friendly and energy efficiency features.

The JRTC LaVilla facility earned 63 out of 65 eligible credits. Among the innovative features recognized for the Building Design and Construction (BD+C) were a heat-reflective roof, occupancy sensors, LED lighting, water efficient fixtures, and the use of recycled product for more than 30% of materials.
