BOMA Orlando Member of the Year

Alexa StoneBOMA Orlando President Diane Sitzer chose Alexa Stone to receive the President’s Award recognizing the association’s 2009 outstanding member of the year.
Stone was chosen for her commitment to the community and sustainability in Central Florida. She has chaired BOMA’s Green Committee, facilitated green building courses, taught preparation classes for the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED accredited professional certification and worked with property managers to promote sustainable building practices.

Stone’s efforts contributed to city of Orlando and Orange County acceptance of the Building Owners and Managers Association’s 7-Point challenge. The points are being used by the Central Florida Energy Efficiency Alliance and the Kilowatt Crackdown Challenge.

Stone is a LEED Accredited Professional and the Lighting and Energy Consultant to HD Supply Electrical.
