Orlando Health’s “Live Green” Initiative spotlight in the Orlando Business Journal

On Friday April 13, Bob Resetar former Energy Manager and Current Facility manager at South Seminole hospital was featured in the Orlando Business Journal. The article by Angele Maraj, commends the effort of the Orlando Health sustainability initiative “Live Green”. The mission of the initiative focuses on patient experience, environmental stewardship and energy conservation. Dr. P. Phillips Hospital was ranked No. 4 in the U.S. last year among hospitals in the EPA’s National Building Competition. And two months ago, the hospital was recognized in the Kilowatt Crackdown Challenge held by the Central Florida Energy Efficiency Alliance. The success of this effort has been implementing Green initiatives that affect patient care: The environment surrounding the patients affects their health. And every dollar saved on the electric bill gives Orlando Health $20 on the bottom line, which could go to patient services or a new MRI — it’s all interconnected.

ecoPreserve is proud to be partnered with Orlando Health in this initiative to lead them as an organization to sustainability success as well as advance sustainability to the surrounding community, their patients, and staff.
